Some people say that Love is the true secret ingredient for the successful realization of a dish. I don't know if it's true, but we can not surely hide that when we cook with Love, for someone we love, the final result is always better.
Actually, Love is the main ingredient also of my project and the reason why I named it Love For Sicily: I mean exactly the Love that binds me to my beloved Sicily and also my – unceasing – Passion for high quality and artisan food.
In my incessant and spasmodic search for the best quality, I’ve found so many unbelievable food and wine miracles, produced by local small factories: sometimes, they are managed by middle-aged women or men who love the traditional Sicilian cuisine, sometimes by young valid and willing people who decided to remain in Sicily, despite all the difficulties that such a choice may involve.
I discovered that the authentic food and wine specialties are always the final result of sweat and effort of people who work firstly with passion, putting their own heart inside their products. And so, I understood that Love is really the only true secret ingredient of all the best we can do.
In my small online shop 'Love For Sicily' I selected the best Sicilian food and wine excellences, so as to honor these kind of producers and, through them, my land, Sicily.
