Perricone Doc Sicilia 75cl- 2017 Tenute Orestiadi
In southwestern Sicily, where the color of the earth recalls the shades of red typical of soils golden by the sun on the Mediterranean, this type of soil is found, rich in sand and skeleton (stones). With a very loose composition and full of ferrous micro elements, in the Belìce Valley it is characterized by a dry microclimate perfect for the breeding of red berried varietals. It is the preferred terrain of Perricone, which in this area has its origins: another name of the cultivar, in fact, is Pignatello, precisely in relation to the "pignate", Sicilian term that indicates the pots made with the same red earth on which the varietal grants its maximum expressions.
